First, what NOT to bring:

  • firearms
  • fireworks
  • anything that violates federal, state, or local laws
  • illicit drugs
  • unregistered guests
  • tiki torches (solar or battery operated OK)
  • glass containers
  • pets
  • RV's and Campers that do not have a prior reservation
  • Fire pits (unless applying for one of 10 available Beltania Fire Permits)

Gear Checklist – The Essentials

  1. Your photo ID, which matches the name you used when purchasing your ticket. Required to enter!
  2. A printout of your e-ticket is not necessary but feel free to bring along.
  3. A bundle of firewood for our sacred Balefire at the Community Center (we ask that all guests bring at least one small bundle)
  4. Camp chairs or blankets for concert seating
  5. Canopy/sun shade
  6. Water: 1.5 gallons per person, per day (for drinking, washing and food).
  7. First-aid kit
  8. Appropriate clothing: light clothes for during the day; very warm clothing for at night; raingear
  9. Sturdy shoes or boots (multiple pair in case of mud) and extra socks
  10. Bedding and shelter of some type; a good camp tent is recommended along with warm sleeping bags and sleeping pads.
  11. Garbage bags—leave no trace!
  12. Any prescription medications, contact lens supplies, and whatever else you need to maintain your health and comfort in a remote area with limited service. Those with CPAP machines, you must provide your own battery power. NO power can be supplied for you; if this is a problem we recommend staying at a hotel.
  13. Flashlights/headlamps and spare batteries
  14. Sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat
  15. Single-ply toilet paper (if portapotties run out)
  16. Common sense, an open mind, and a positive attitude

Optional Items

  1. Smokers: portable ashtrays for your ash and cigarette butts (Altoids tins work great)
  2. A cup for beverages (not glass)
  3. Money for food and other purchases if desired
  4. Propane stoves and grills for cooking food if you are not purchasing your food. Charcoal grills are discouraged, permit required. See fire policy.
  5. Your finest Pagan Regalia or Costumes!
  6. Ice chest(s) (ice available at a food vendor)
  7. Earplugs
  8. Handi-wipes or wash cloth for cleaning up (no showers available at Beltania)
  9. Portable camp shower of your own
  10. Any magical items you might want to bring with you – tools, crystals, divination cards, etc.
  11. Insect Repellent
  12. Drums
  13. A tent heater (the Coleman ProCat is a recommended favorite!)
  14. A journal or sketchbook
  15. Condoms or other birth control and safer sex items
  16. Camera (please read our photography policy)
  17. Bathrobe, towel, shampoo and soap if you're planning on visiting the Hot Springs nearby. Two field trips are planned; see our schedule of events in our program when you arrive.
