Some positions start in August/September. Staff meetings are about once a month. Coordinators often work independently or in smaller groups to accomplish needed tasks. We occasionally have workdays scheduled to build something together or do a site visit. 

Many positions remain filled by the same people year after year, but we do occasionally have openings. Higher level staff positions can involve 50-500 hours of pre-festival work. We all volunteer our first 100 hours of pre-fest work, and for those who log their hours may be paid at a token stipend for time over 100 hours. Other positions are mostly limited to working at the festival, from 6-12 hours per day.
