What's New for 2010
We received some really valuable feedback from over 250 guests of Beltania 2009. You told us that you'd like a longer festival, bigger site, better parking close to your campsite, and a faster gate check-in. You enjoyed the musical performances, the Maypole Dance, lots of rituals, and having meals available for purchase so you didn't have to cook. You enjoyed the sense of community and welcoming inclusiveness, as well as the late-night drumming and campfire circles. The rain wasn't quite so enthusiastically embraced, but the diversity of people and gorgeous views were! Over 90% of our respondents indicated they prefer pre-registering online and wanted weekend passes. We listened to you, and here's the changes we've made:
- We've added a day to the festival - while keeping the first tier of ticket pricing the same as last year!
- Florence Mountain Park is our new venue. With huge meadows, lovely wooded areas, stunning mountain views, and a pond, this 6600 ft elevation site is close to hot springs and a quaint historic downtown with hotels, gas, and all civilized amenities only 6 miles away. Only a mile or so of dirt roads!
- Parking will be much nearer
- All registration will take place online, either with a credit card or mailing a check separately. Registration will also be available in-person at our events for those who do not have a computer or prefer to pay cash.
- Kids 12 and under are still free and we still offer the group discount (see website for details)
- We've streamlined the registration and check-in process, and to do that we're offering only weekend passes and no at-the-door ticket sales. Preregistration by April 30 only.
- We'll have catered meals again, but more options.
- Festival attendees will no longer be required to do a 2-hr workshift! However, there will be workshifts we'll still need help with, on a voluntary basis, for anyone who would like to help out.
